Senior OT Security Consultant (Utilities)

About the role
Swiss utilities operate hydro plants, grid substations and water networks that depend on control systems built for reliability rather than security. Many are now planning upgrades under the ICT minimum standard and the revised Electricity Supply Ordinance. This role leads that work for our Zurich clients. You run OT risk assessments, define security programmes and support procurement of new systems. You work with utility engineers, our OT engineers in Munich and our network security team.
What you will do
- Lead OT security assessments for energy, water and district heating operators
- Define multi-year OT security programmes aligned with IEC 62443 and the ICT minimum standard
- Write security requirements for tenders and review supplier responses
- Advise on OT monitoring, backup and recovery concepts suited to plant operations
- Guide OT engineers on the team and review their deliverables
What you bring
- 6+ years in OT security, automation engineering or utility operations
- Strong knowledge of IEC 62443 and of utility control systems
- Experience leading assessments or programmes with client management
- Good understanding of Swiss regulation for critical infrastructure
- Professional German and English; French an advantage
Good to have
- IEC 62443 Expert certification
- Knowledge of IEC 61850 and IEC 60870-5-104 environments
