About the role
NIS2 has brought thousands of German companies under cyber security regulation for the first time, many of them in manufacturing, logistics and waste management. This role helps them understand what applies and act on it. You assess entity classification, map existing controls to the Article 21 risk management measures and set up incident reporting to the BSI. You work with our ISMS, OT and business continuity colleagues, and with client management who now carry personal accountability for cyber risk.
What you will do
- Assess whether and how clients fall under NIS2 and the NIS2UmsuCG, and document the reasoning
- Map current controls to the Article 21 measures and build a prioritised implementation roadmap
- Set up incident classification and the 24-hour, 72-hour and one-month reporting process to the BSI
- Prepare management board training on supervision duties and liability
- Track guidance from the BSI and ENISA and translate it into practical client advice
What you bring
- 3+ years in information security governance, compliance or IT audit
- Sound knowledge of the NIS2 Directive and the German implementation act
- Working knowledge of ISO 27001 or BSI IT-Grundschutz
- Clear writing for executive and legal audiences
- Willingness to travel to client sites in Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg
Good to have
- Experience with KRITIS obligations under the BSI Act
- ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or CISA certification
