About the role

Many of our Swiss clients run networks that grew over twenty years and now have to meet stricter rules on segmentation and access. This role helps them redesign without disrupting operations. You review existing designs and firewall rule sets, plan segmentation and zero trust access, and support implementation with client network teams and their integrators. You work with our cloud and OT security colleagues where networks cross into those areas, and you document designs so that auditors and operators can follow them.

What you will do

• Review network architectures and firewall rule sets and recommend clear improvements
• Design segmentation, secure remote access and zero trust network access concepts
• Define secure configuration baselines for routers, switches, firewalls and VPN gateways
• Support client network teams and integrators during implementation and cut-over
• Document designs and controls for audits under FINMA, ISO 27001 or the ICT minimum standard

What you bring

• 4+ years in network engineering, at least 2 of them focused on security
• Hands-on experience with next-generation firewalls from Palo Alto, Fortinet or Check Point
• Solid understanding of routing, switching, VPN and DNS
• Experience with network access control and identity-aware access
• Professional English; German or French an advantage

Good to have

• CCNP Security, PCNSE or NSE 7 certification
• Familiarity with the Swiss ICT minimum standard of the Federal Office for National Economic Supply
