Lead Consultant, Security Governance

About the role
Our governance practice in Munich is growing as more clients fall under NIS2, DORA and sector rules. This role leads it. You take responsibility for a team of consultants, set methods and quality standards, and act as senior adviser to client CISOs and management boards on security strategy and target operating models. You work closely with the heads of our OT, architecture and detection teams so that clients receive one coherent view, and you help shape how the practice develops.
What you will do
- Lead and develop a team of governance, risk and compliance consultants
- Advise client executives on security strategy, organisation and target operating models
- Own methods, templates and quality reviews for governance engagements
- Shape proposals and engagement plans with clients and colleagues in other practices
- Represent Alpwacht at industry events and in standards and regulatory working groups
What you bring
- 10+ years in information security, including at least 3 leading consultants or a security function
- Deep knowledge of ISO 27001, NIS2 and at least one sector regime such as DORA or KRITIS
- Track record advising boards and senior management
- Experience shaping proposals and engagement scope
- Fluent German and English
Good to have
- CISSP, CISM or ISO 27001 Lead Auditor certification
- Prior role as CISO or deputy CISO
