About the role
Some clients need more than a set of controls: they need a security architecture that holds together across data centres, cloud platforms, plants and partners. This role provides that view. You define reference architectures and principles, review designs from our engineers and client teams, and advise senior client leaders on decisions with long consequences, such as identity platforms or sovereign cloud strategy. You also mentor architects across Alpwacht and shape our architecture methods.
What you will do
- Define enterprise security architectures and reference models for complex client environments
- Review and approve designs across cloud, network, identity and OT engagements
- Advise client CIOs and CISOs on platform choices, sourcing and long-term roadmaps
- Set architecture principles and methods used across Alpwacht teams
- Mentor senior engineers and architects
What you bring
- 12+ years in IT and security, at least 5 of them in senior architecture roles
- Broad knowledge across identity, cloud, network and data security
- Experience with architecture frameworks such as SABSA or TOGAF
- Proven record advising executives on major technology decisions
- Fluent German and English
Good to have
- SABSA Practitioner or Master certification
- Experience in both financial services and industrial environments
